Emile-Alain Seguy was a French artist who produced eleven albums in the 20th century. He used intricate Art Nouveau patterns and vibrant Art Deco geometric floral patterns.
Through stencils, he applied pigment to paper using an innovative printing technique called Pochoir. Seguy’s art pieces were highly sought after, but his printing technique was extremely difficult to master.
Nevertheless, he was able to master it and create pieces of art that are still admired today. He is credited with popularizing Art Nouveau and Art Deco in France and inspiring other artists to experiment with the medium.
