Katsushika Hokusai was one of the most influential Japanese artists of the 19th century. His work, including the iconic “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” print, is known around the world and has been a source of inspiration for many. Among his works, one of the lesser known is a series of prints featuring birds and sunsets. These prints depict birds perched on trees or in the air against a backdrop of a stunning sunset. The colors are vibrant, with rich reds, oranges, and yellows making up the sky, while blues and greens hinting at the depths of the ocean or lake.
