Description
Photo of the famous St Louis-Cathedral church building in New Orleans, Louisiana USA.
Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans, the St. Louis Cathedral is one of the oldest active churches in the United States. Built in 1794 on the site of a former Jesuit church, the iconic cathedral was designed by noted colonial architect and engineer, Gilberto Guillemard.
The majestic building, which boasts two towers and neoclassical styling, has served as an important symbol of the city’s Catholic past and religious history.
Within the walls of the cathedral visitors can find a host of masterpieces, including paintings, sculptures, and stained glass windows that tell the story of the city's religious heritage.
This photo of the St Louis Cathedral is available as a wall art framed print, stretched canvas and other venues to enhance your office or home decor.
