Description
Photo of United States Astronaut Hall of Fame at John F. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Titusville FL USA. This image shows the entrance sign and the historic space shuttle.
As one of 10 NASA field centers, Kennedy Space Center is a premier multi-user spaceport that has nearly 250 partnership agreements with the private sector.
NASA was created largely in response to the Soviet launch of Sputnik in 1957. It was organized around the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), which was created by Congress in 1915. NASA's organization was well under way in the early years of the John F. Kennedy administration, and it has since become a premier multi-user spaceport.
Commercial companies are more prevalent at NASA's Kennedy Space Center than ever before, enabling us to embark on a bold era of space exploration. Kennedy also houses facilities for researching and developing innovative solutions that government and commercial space ventures need for working and living on the moon and other planets in our solar system, although it is the agency's main launch site. This photo makes great wall art for those working in astronomy or NASA. Use as den or office decor artwork.
