Description
Salomé by Alphonse Mucha - The Czech graphic artist Alphons Maria Mucha (1860-1939) is best known internationally as Alphonse Mucha. During the Art Nouveau period, Mucha lived in Paris. Mucha's style was heavily influenced by the time's art movements and often depicted elegant female figures in flowing robes. Aside from advertising for French companies, he also designed book illustrations and theater sets and costumes.
Known for his stylized and decorative posters like those of Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous actress in Paris during his time, he is best known for his theatrical posters.
In what he called the Mucha style, Mucha painted, advertised, illustrated books, and designed carpets, jewelry, and theater sets.
Artwork available as a framed print, canvas, t shirts, stickers and other options.
