The Kershaw House in Camden, South Carolina is a historic mansion that is over 200 years old. Located in the heart of the city, it is one of the oldest surviving residences in town and has been carefully preserved to offer visitors a glimpse of life in the early 19th century. Built in 1806 by Joseph Kershaw, a prominent local merchant, the house originally stood across from the Kershaw Mansion in downtown Camden. It was later moved to its current location, which was once a slave quarters. The home is made up of four large rooms, with a central hall connecting all of them. The interior is filled with original artifacts from the time period, including furniture, artwork, and even some of the original kitchenware.
