Artist's Description

Photo shows the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Washington DC. The Marine Corps Heritage Center is a major attraction for visitors to Alexandria and Washington DC.
U.S. Marines past, present, and future are honored at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This 120,000-square-foot facility is located on a 135-acre site near Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.

The Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775, when the Continental Congress ordered that two battalions of Marines be raised for service as landing forces with the fleet. Marines have participated in all wars of the United States.

It is under the command of Marine Corps University. Its soaring design evokes the image of flag-raisers at Iwo Jima. With the latest technology, visitors are immersed in marine action through world-class interactive exhibits using irreplaceable artifacts.
This photo makes a great artwork addition to a den or office, especially for that marine who served the country.
