Description
Photo shows Astronaut John W. Young, commander of the Apollo 16 lunar landing mission, leaping on the surface of the moon as he salutes the United States flag at the Descartes landing site during the first Apollo 16 extravehicular activity (EVA). (21 April 1972) Original from NASA.
To add some mixed media interest, I placed a photo I created at Devil's Tower, Wyoming in the background. Let me know what you think.
Devil's Tower is America's first national monument declared so by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. The tall mountain was the focal point in the movie; "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind".
Amazing earth picture (background) embedded as a mixed media encounter to make the image more interesting. Digitally enhanced by rawpixel and Bob Pardue.
